Gene Expression in Zucchini Fruit Development

The study of fruit development in zucchini via gene expression has proven to be applicable breeding programs. Phenotypic and transcriptomic studies set parthenocarpy have been previously developed some relevant genes reported. From these studies, three genotypes (MUCU-16, Whitaker, Cavili) six (CpAUX22, CpIAA4, CpIAMT-1, CpPIN5, CpCYCD6-1, CpEXPLB1) were selected. was analyzed each genotype under different treatments (pollination, auxin-treatment non-treatment) during one week post anthesis. Also, a phenotyping analysis conducted. nature the samples selected allowed associations between traits stages. There rapid response CpAUX22 CpIAA4 auxin treatment. CpIAMT-1 became more overexpressed pollinated over time. CpPIN5 increased its time all while CpCYCD6-1 early stages samples. CpEXPLB1 highly up-regulated non-treated samples, suggesting relationship with abortion. overexpression non-overexpression may associated growth zucchini.
